Bullet for My Valentine, also called BFMV, is a Welsh heavy metal band that formed in 1998 in Bridgend. The group got together under the name Jeff Killed John and covered songs by bands Nirvana and Metallica. When the original band changed styles, they changed their name, too, and in 2002, secured a five-album record deal. The debut album, The Poison, was released in 2005.
