About Central Arkansas Bears Football

The Central Arkansas Bears football program is the intercollegiate football team of the University of Central Arkansas (UCA), located in Conway, Arkansas. First fielding a team in 1908, the Bears compete in the NCAA Division I Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) as members of the United Athletic Conference. The program enjoyed its greatest era from 1979 to 1992, winning or sharing 13 of 14 conference championships in the Arkansas Intercollegiate Conference, including three NAIA national championships in 1984, 1985, and 1991. The Bears play their home games at Estes Stadium on campus. Since transitioning to FCS competition, the program has won Southland Conference championships in 2008, 2012, and 2017 and has made multiple FCS playoff appearances.
