Exodus is a heavy metal (thrash metal) band composed of Ukrainian and American members that formed in 1979, riding the heavy metal wave of the 1980s into the early 1990s. Known for wild shows (and after parties) and high octane performances on stage, Exodus continued to thrill audiences up until their first breakup in 1993. The band has disbanded and reformed several times in the years since, releasing new music and touring together on a more or less consistent basis since 2001.
