Hangout Fest

As one of Alabama’s most successful annual festivals, Hangout Fest has mixed with the city’s culture and become an iconic music event known across the country. It was established in 2009 and it has kept on attracting America’s biggest musicians and remitted millions in taxes paid to the city.

All the popular festivals you know today got their fame from pulling big artists to perform at their events. From the first edition of Hangout Fest in 2010, top artists like John Legend were already headlining the event dates, so it was sure to become a big music festival.

Hangout Fest Lineup 2024

Except for the few years when the event was canceled, since 2010, Hangout Fest has been heaven for live music lovers. The event always brings an exciting lineup of artists to keep the audience entertained for the three days that the event will be on.

May 17

Headliners: Lana Del Rey, The Chainsmokers and Dominic Fike

NLE Choppa, Matt Maeson, Eliza Rose, TroyBoi, and David Kushner will also be performing on this date.

May 18

Headliners: Odesza, Cage the Elephant and Alison Wonderland

On that day, Sexyy Red, Koe Wetzel, Jessie Murph, Alana Springsteen, and Le Youth will also be entertaining the crowds on the Hangout Fest stages.

May 19

Headliners: Zach Bryan, Renee Rapp, and Doechi

On the final day, several talented musicians, including Wyatt Flores, Subtronics, Megan Moroney, Nelly, and Austin Millz, will perform for the crowd to round out the festival.

How to Watch Hangout Fest Online

Live music lovers who can’t be at the Gulf Shores for the next Hangout Fest can still follow all the action at the festival live online. There will be a live stream available on the Hangout Fest official website. If you prefer to use another interface, there will also be a live stream on eMusicLive and a few other streaming platforms.

Hangout Fest Aftershows

On all three dates, the headliners, who are always the last to perform, close the event at around 11 PM. If you are looking for more excitement after this time, there are a number of bars in the area that festival attendees move to for aftershows. Alternatively, there could be some small parties at the beach or in condos nearby.

Hangout Fest Outfits

It’s a festival with people from different backgrounds just looking to have a good time on the beach, so you can wear anything you want and not get judged. Since it’s a beach festival, a lot of people wear bathing suits and cover-ups, then slap on sandals for comfort, so you can’t go wrong with that. If you are the type to wear jeans and button-down shirts to parties, you still won’t look out of place because that’s what a number of attendees will also be rocking.

Hangout Fest 2024 Schedule

The official schedule for each day of the festival has been released to the public, along with the artists who will perform at each given time. The opening time for Hangout Fest is as follows, so be sure to plan your day accordingly.

There will be five stages on Gulf Shores during the festival, so attendees can choose which artist they want to listen to at any given time. The starting time and the stars on each stage differ, but they are all clearly explained in the 2024 schedule.

May 17

On the first day, the main stage will be opened with a performance by The Stews starting at 1:30 PM and closed for the day with a performance by Lana Del Rey at 9:30 PM. On the Shoreline stage, the action will start at 2:15 PM with Brenn on stage. For the Mermaid stage, Linka Moja will open the show for the day by 1:15 PM.

The Monster Beach Club stage will open at 1:00 PM with a performance by Madds. The final stage, the “Boom on the Beach” Stage, will open at 2:00 PM with Bunt.

May 18

On Saturday, Knox will open the main stage by 1:30 PM, and the last performance for the day will be by a headlining act, Odesza, by 9:30 PM. The Shoreline and ”Boom on the Beach” stages will both be opening by 2:00 PM, with performances by Dasha and Westend on their respective stages.

The Mermaid stage will open by 1:15 PM with Willow Avalon, and Darius will be the first to perform on the Monster Beach Club stage on Saturday by 12:30 PM.

May 19

On the final day, the main stage will open at 1:30 PM. Little Stranger and Zach Bryan will climb the same stage by 9:15 PM to close performances for the festival. Hemlocke Springs will perform at 2:15 PM on the Shoreline stage, and AB$NTH will open the Monster Beach Club Stage at 1:00 PM.

For the Mermaid Stage, Jamie Wyatt will be the first to perform on Sunday, and Wyatt Flores will close the stage for 2024 by 8:00 PM. On the ”Boom on the Beach” stage, HYPERBEAM will open the stage by 2:00 PM, while Kasbo, Dom Dolla, and Subtronics will perform at different times for the rest of the day.
