About Johnnyswim

Johnnyswim is a folk, blues, pop, and soul music duo that formed in 2005 in Nashville, Tennessee. The group consists of Abner Ramirez and Amanda Sudano. Ramirez trained as a musician in Jacksonville, Florida, and the pair met after church in Nashville. Four years later, Sudano attended a workshop on songwriting led by Ramirez, and they started writing songs together. Johnnyswim released their first self-titled EP in 2008, then released a second in 2010 and started touring the country. Their third EP came out in 2012, and the unsigned duo began receiving support from major brands like Apple, Tommy Hilfiger, and Louis Vuitton, among others. By 2013, they were appearing on night shows, like The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson. They finally got signed in 2014 and released their first full-length album, which hit the top spot on the charts. Their song “Home” became the theme song for Fixer Upper on HGTV.
