Liquid Stranger is the stage name for the electronic musician from Sweden. Martin Johan Stääf is a 46-year-old who has been called the top of the line in Transnational Dubstep. He covers dubs from all over, including Jamaica, Asia, Eastern Europe, and Latin America. His experimental style merges genres to create something wholly unique. Stääf was born in Sweden and started playing piano at a young age. He left classical music behind in the 80s when he started messing around with synthesizers and producing his own material. He worked in commercial studios, engineering and producing, and formed a music group in 1997. The group focused on progressive sounds and released two albums. He launched Liquid Stranger as a project in 2003. Since he released all of his music under that name, a wide variety of musical options have come from the alias. He wanted to stay anonymous as to his identity, but that became tricky and he took ownership of the name.
