Marco Antonio Soli, birth name Marco Antonio Solís Sosa, is a Mexican musician, record producer, singer, and songwriter. He was born in Ario de Rosales, Michoacan, and began showing musical inclinations at the age of 6. He performed with his cousin until, in 1975, he co-founded the group Los Bukis, so he could sing, write, and play guitar. After two decades of success, he went out on his own to pursue a solo career. His first solo record was released in 1996. Soli has won 5 Latin Grammys and has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. He was inducted into the Billboard Latin Music Hall of Fame and was even recognized as Person of the Year by the Latin Recording Academy in 2022. His solo career has made him popular in Mexico, Spain, Latin America, and the U.S. He has also dabbled in acting, providing the voice for the Spanish dub of Ernesto de la Cruz in the 2017 movie Coco.
