Dates: May 23-26, 2024

Location: 455-499 Fallsway, Baltimore, Maryland

Opening Hours for 2024: TBA

Maryland Deathfest (MDF) is an outdoor festival of extreme metal music, taking place in Baltimore, Maryland, every May during the city’s Memorial Day weekend. Ludwig van Lipizzitz brought about the idea in 2003, but the entire event was run by Ryan Taylor and Evan Harting. Deathfest has hosted nearly 800 bands from 35 different nations, with acts from virtually all forms of metal sub-genres.

MDF is more or less North America’s greatest event of this type annually, attracting participants from over 40 states of the USA and 25 nations. The fest did not take place in the year 2020 and 2021 due to the pandemic but it was held in 2022.

How To Watch Maryland Deathfest Online

As of the previous update in January 2022, MDF events are primarily face-to-face, and as of now, there are no official revelations about a change. However, it is still not clear whether the organizers would make changes, as these intentions have not yet been declared public yet.

If you are eager to watch the event through live stream from your home, it will be wise to keep tabs with the official site of the event and the pages of its social networks for the announcements on streaming. Search on platforms like Twitch or YouTube by looking for the words ‘live’ and ‘stream’.

Consequently, there are possibilities that dedicated fan bases bring unofficial streams or recordings to fan forums.

Festival outfit

For this event, worry less about fashionability, but rather aim for being comfortably dressed. Your clothing should ideally be easy to wash if it gets stained. Wear black or dark clothing to fit the overall idea of the festival. As for the bottoms, the most favored are band t-shirts, ripped jeans or cargo pants.

To make the clothes look more diverse and stylish, it is recommended to layer it with a denim or leather jacket. Shoes Sturdy boots or sneakers since the show involves very many cases of slow dancing, moshing or even just standing.

On the same note, accompany it with metal-inspired jewelry and patches for aesthetic and extra fan representation purposes. Do not forget to take earplugs. A backpack or a crossbody bag where you can put water, sunblock or lotion, cash, and any necessary merchandise can be perfect.
