Milwaukee Metal Fest premiered in 1989 as one of the first festivals focusing on heavy metal. It was developed by two young metalheads from the local area, Jack Koshick and his brother. The idea was quickly picked up by metal fans across the nation. It was a unique one which brought together local and foreign artists.
As the years passed, it became one of the most important metal events, where many famous bands such as Slayer, Cannibal Corpse and Lamb of God put on their best shows. However, it is important to mention some failures and problems, such as occasional change of locations, which, nevertheless, cannot obscure the fact that the festival remains a powerful evidence of the metal music’s eternity.
The organizers unveiled the complete lineup for the festival scheduled from May 16-19 at TheRave/Eagles Club, announced on February 5, 2024. The event commences with a Thursday night pre-party, free for those with three-day passes, led by Jasta And Friends.
Following days will showcase performances by Blind Guardian, Mr. Bungle, Kamelot, Hatebreed, Municipal Waste, Slaughter To Prevail, Avatar, and numerous other esteemed metal and metal-adjacent bands.
