Shaky Knees Music Festival

This 2024 edition is the 11th anniversary of the Shaky Knees festival. Since 2013, the festival has delivered quality indie music performances to attendees, and every year, the shows keep getting better. Between May 3rd and May 5, 2024, Atlanta will be buzzing with excitement once again as the anticipated music fiesta comes back to Central Park.

Tom Sweetwood was the genius who introduced the festival to the world in 2013. Back then, he mentioned how he wanted Shaky Knees to be a solely music festival, and today, 13 years later, he has kept his word. One noticeable change between the first edition of Shaky Knees and the recent editions is that the festival has become a three-day event, not two days anymore.

From the first Shaky Knees Festival in 2013 to now, the venue has always been somewhere in Atlanta. However, as the program pulled larger crowds, it had to keep changing locations. This year, the chosen location is Central Park in Downtown Atlanta.

Shaky Knees Music Fest 2024 Lineup

The organizers have put together an exciting list of musicians to entertain three-day ticket holders from Friday to Sunday. On the opening day, Noah Kahan, Arcade Fire, Young the Giant, Interpol, The Revivalists, Yves Tumor, Metric, and a few other talented artists will perform.

On Saturday, May 4th, the fun will continue with Weezer, Queens of the Stone Age, The Offspring, Girl in Red, Mike Snow, Royal Blood, Holly Humberstone, Chicano Batman, and others.

To close off the show, the Foo Fighters would be on the Atlanta Stage on the final date of the event. Billy Idol, Portugal, The Man, Men I Trust, Dinosaur Jr.Waxahatchee, Matt and Kim, The Struts, Kevin Morby, and a few other talented musicians will also be performing on the last day.

Shaky Knees Music Fest Seating Arrangement

Like most other events, a regular ticket gets you into the venue, but a VIP ticket puts you in the best positions in the park and gives you access to VIP suites. Since it is an outdoor music event, most people don’t mind the difference because they still get to enjoy all the festival fun from all parts of the park.

Getting to the Shaky Knees Music Fest Venue

The festival will be hosted in Central Park, Atlanta, and the entrance is at Civic Center (395 Piedmont Avenue). On all the dates, the gates open by 11:30 am and we always recommend arriving early to prevent any hiccups with your festival experience.

Shaky Knees advised attendees to avoid using ‘Central Park, Atlanta’ as their location when coming in with Ubers or driving themselves. The right address to use is 395 Piedmont Ave NE, Atlanta, GA 30308. This will allow you to get to the festival entrance directly.

Parking at Shaky Knees Music Fest

The festival organizers recommend attendees use public transport for ease of access. However, if you drive in, there is no on-site parking at the venue; there are parking lots around it. There is also metered street parking in Atlanta that costs $2 per hour.
