Allianz Parque

Capacity: 55,000

Opened: November 19, 2014

Home Team: Palmeiras(Soccer, Brasileirão Série A)

In 2010, Palmeiras started building a new stadium to meet modern FIFA requirements and accommodate more fans. When they completed construction in 2014, the stadium had become one of Brazil's most advanced multipurpose stadiums.

The Allianz Parque is called a multipurpose stadium because even though it is a football stadium on most days, it can serve many other purposes. Since the arena was opened in 2014, it has hosted several shows and concerts. When it is set up for concerts, the stadium’s capacity is 55,000, while for football matches, it can take 43,173 fans.

Even though the stadium was launched in 2014, for Paulistanos, its history goes much further than that. The Allianz Parque was a new version of Palmeira's former stadium, Estadio Palestra Italia, which was demolished for the new one to come up. When the new stadium was built, Palmeiras signed a sponsorship deal with Allianz that included naming the stadium. The club allowed fans to choose the stadium's name, and that’s how Allianz Parque came about.

Allianz Parque is a football stadium, but as a multipurpose arena, it is also a good location for concerts and entertainment shows. Performers could use half the stadium or the entire space for their events. With its capacity to seat so many people, it has become a favorite spot for the biggest shows in Brazil.

Between 2014 and now, top entertainers like Katy Perry, Ariana Grande, Maroon 5, Coldplay, Justin Beiber, and many others have performed here. In 2022, Harry Styles’ Love on Tour had three dates in Brazil, and it brought 137,009 people to the Allianz Parque.

If you are a soccer fan, games are always scheduled to be played in the stadium weekly. Also, for fans who want to enjoy a music concert in Allianz Parque, exciting shows are lined up for 2024. Luis Miguel, the Jonas Brothers, and Louis Tomlinson are some of the talented perfomers who booked the arena for their 2024 concerts.
