The Santander Arena, formerly known as the Sovereign Center, is a 7,160-seat multi-purpose arena located in Reading, Pennsylvania. Constructed in 2001 on the site of the former Astor Theater, the arena pays homage to its predecessor by preserving artifacts such as the ornate Art Deco chandelier and gates. It serves as the home venue for the Reading Royals ice hockey team in the ECHL and the Alvernia University Golden Wolves ice hockey team of the NCAA DIII. Over the years, the arena has also hosted various sports teams including basketball, football, and lacrosse teams.
