About Dope Lemon

Dope Lemon is the solo project of Australian musician Angus Stone, born on April 27, 1986, in Sydney. Best known as one half of the sibling folk-indie duo Angus & Julia Stone, he began recording under the Dope Lemon moniker in 2016. Influenced by blues, psychedelic rock, and laid-back coastal sounds, his music represents a distinct departure from the gentler acoustic style of his duo work. His debut album Honey Bones (2016) was followed by Smooth Big Cat (2019), Rose Pink Cadillac (2022), and Kimosabé (2023), the latter peaking at number nine on the ARIA Albums Chart. His fifth studio album Golden Wolf was released in May 2025. Stone grew up in a musical household, the son of folk musicians John and Kim Stone.
