About Fireside Collective

Fireside Collective is a progressive bluegrass quintet based in Asheville, North Carolina. Formed in 2014 by mandolinist and songwriter Jesse Iaquinto, who gathered a group of bluegrass enthusiasts to perform his original compositions, the band's current lineup consists of Iaquinto on mandolin and vocals, Joe Cicero on guitar, Alex Genova on banjo, Tommy Maher on resonator guitar, and Carson White on upright bass. Inspired by the burgeoning roots music scene of Asheville and rooted in the bluegrass tradition, the band draws on folk, blues, funk, and jam band influences to create an original sound that bridges traditional and progressive bluegrass. The group won the 2016 Band Contest at MerleFest, one of the most prestigious competitions in American roots music, and received an International Bluegrass Music Association Momentum Band of the Year nomination. Their albums include Shadows and Dreams (2015), Life Between the Lines (2017), Elements (2020), which charted at number three on the Billboard Bluegrass Albums chart, and Blue Is My Condition (2022), with Elements and Blue Is My Condition released on Mountain Home Music Company.
