Prudential Center Events

Known locally as “The Rock,” Prudential Center has been the home arena of the NHL’s New Jersey Devils and NCAA’s Seton Hall Pirates basketball team since it opened in 2007. The New Jersey Nets of the NBA also played at Prudential Center for two seasons before the team relocated to Brooklyn and became the Brooklyn Nets. The Devils’ greatest period of success came before the opening of Prudential Center, with three Stanley Cups in 1995, 2000, and 2003. In recent years, the team has struggled to make the playoffs, but still attracts devotion from its many loyal New Jersey fans. Along with all regular season and playoffs Devils and Pirates home games, Prudential Center is also the scene of many concerts, comedy shows, and MMA/UFC events. Visitors who arrive on an empty stomach will find lots to eat at Prudential Center, everything from chicken tacos to Jersey Shore Fish & Chips to towering burgers and fries. The arena is also located in a neighborhood filled with enticing Portuguese, Brazilian, and Spanish restaurants. Those searching for team and event merchandise will find plenty on sale at the venue’s many kiosks and shops.
