Orgy is an American rock band formed in Los Angeles, California in 1997 by vocalist Jay Gordon and guitarists Amir Derakh and Ryan Shuck, with bassist Paige Haley and drummer Bobby Hewitt completing the original lineup. Known for their blend of industrial rock, nu metal, and synth driven electronics, the band described their sound as "death pop." Signed to Korn's Elementree Records after being discovered by Jonathan Davis, they released their debut album Candyassin 1998, which sold nearly two million copies and produced hit singles including a cover of New Order's "Blue Monday" and original track "Stitches." Their second album Vapor Transmission (2000) followed with singles "Fiction (Dreams in Digital)" and "Opticon." A third album, Punk Statik Paranoia, was released independently in 2004 before the band went on an extended hiatus. Following a bitter split between Gordon and the other original members around 2010, Gordon continued using the Orgy name with a new lineup. The band released the EP Talk Sick in 2015. Despite ongoing lineup disputes and periods of inactivity, Orgy remains active under Gordon's leadership and continues to tour.
