Subsequent albums include Shape & Destroy (2020) and The Weakness (2023). Often described as a "bastard disciple of Kurt Cobain and Townes Van Zandt," Kelly's singular style blends folk lyricism, grunge attitude, Americana spirit, and country heart. He was previously married to country star Kacey Musgraves from 2017 to 2020.
