Home Teams: Brooklyn Nets (NBA)
The stylish Barclays Center opened in mid-September of 2012, just in time to welcome the NBA’s Brooklyn Nets as the Borough’s first major professional sports team since the departure of the Brooklyn Dodgers in 1957 (amidst much grumbling across the Hudson River in New Jersey, previous home of the Nets). Along with all Nets regular season and playoff home games, the Barclays Center hosts an extensive calendar of events including concerts, cultural festivals, and other sporting competitions. Food and beverage options are superb at the venue, with a special focus on providing local Brooklyn cuisine (and beer) on site. Visitors can also shop for team and event merchandise or peruse the work of local artists that is frequently on display.
The Barclays Center contains a range of different seating options for visitors. The venue caters to different preferences and price ranges, from premium seating areas such as floor seats or luxury boxes to mid-range seating and “the nosebleeds.” The views are superb; there isn’t a bad seat in the house. TicketX lists all available tickets for your game or event at Barclays Center and you can use our handy seating chart to compare different seating options.
Visitors can access the Barclays Center via public transportation or driving their own vehicle.
Getting to Barclays Center via public transportation couldn’t be simpler, with the stadium located next to Atlantic Terminal-Barclays Center Station, a major transit hub connecting to ten different subway train lines. Check the MTA’s website to find the easiest route for you. Another option is to take a taxi to the venue.
Driving your own vehicle to the Barclays Center is possible, but be conscious that traffic in New York City is legendary, particularly during rush hour or when games or big events are taking place. Bridges and tunnels often become particularly congested. If you plan to drive, aim for an early arrival at the Barclays Center to avoid disappointment. The Barclays Center's official website has excellent driving directions.
No, on-site parking is not available at the Barclays Center but there is plenty of parking nearby. The Barclays Center's official website suggests using their official parking partner SpotHero to help you reserve a prepaid parking space close to the venue in advance.
During games and events, parking around the Barclays Center ranges in cost from $12-50. The Barclays Center's official website recommends their official parking partner SpotHero to help you find the best parking rates when reserving a prepaid parking space near the venue.
