About Halstead Amphitheater

The Halstead Amphitheater is situated on the campus of Coastal Alabama Community College downtown in Fairhope, Alabama. The venue has more than 65,000 square feet of open-air space for seating. Named after former resident Ottilie Halstead, who supported the arts and donated generously, the beautiful venue is tucked among the trees.

Halstead Amphitheater Rules

The open-air aspect of Halstead Amphitheater allows for different rules than other concert and event venues. Here are a few:

  • Food is allowed! You can bring your own picnic, as long as you don’t have any glass bottles or containers.

  • There will be at least one food truck/vendor at every event, so if you don’t bring food, you can always buy some.

  • Seating is plentiful in the open grass areas, but there are no seats provided. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets.

  • Do not bring umbrellas, tents, or other items that might block others’ views.

  • You can bring cameras and take photos, but not professional-grade equipment. Video is dependent upon the group or artist you see and will be announced at the beginning of the concert.

  • Some shows may be canceled due to weather, but the venue always makes an effort to reschedule the same act within the same season for those who want to return.

  • Well-behaved pets on leashes are allowed. Fans must clean up after their pets and bring their food and water.

Halstead Amphitheater Bag Policy
