Inside the Lee Health Sports Complex in South Fort Myers, the Hammond Stadium hit the ground in 1991. Home to the Minnesota Twins; spring training grounds, its seating capacity, thanks to a renovation between 2014 and 2015, surged from 7,500 to 9,300.
The Fort Myers Mighty Mussels finished their 2014 season, as well as their Florida State League championship elsewhere, to give way for the renovations to happen. The enhancements to the venue brought about more walkable space, shaded spots, and an expanded gift shop.
Twins Rookie League affiliate, the Gulf Coast League Twins, also operate within the Lee Health Sports Complex, however typically on the adjacent fields. Named in honor of William H. Hammond Jr, the stadium features nods to Twin legends and a design reminiscent of Churchill Downs.

In May, the home team will face the Mighty Mussels on 7th-12th. And as the season snowballs to intensity, the Bradenton Marauders come to the field on May 28th to June 2nd with the aim of triumphing over the Mighty Mussels in a series of matchups.
To heat June up, the Lakeland Flying Tigers arrive at Hammond Stadium to take their turn in competing with the Mighty Mussels from June 11th through June 16th. After these matchups, the Tampa Tarpons come for the same faceoff from June 25th to June 30th.
The Bradenton Marauders will come back for another showdown against the Mighty Mussels from July 4th to July 14th. Many more games follow after.
