Constructed way back in 1912, the Jefferson Theatre is situated inside the flagship building of the Historic Downtown Mall of Charlottesville, Virginia. For many years, the theater functioned as a vaudeville and cinema venue (or “movie palace” as it was originally termed) but found a second life as a live music venue after it was purchased, renovated, and reopened in 2009. These days, the Jefferson Theatre in Charlottesville is one of the city’s most attractive and exciting venues, bringing in top artists  from all around the country while also making stage space for local talent.
