The House of Blues is a chain of live music halls/restaurants founded by actor Dan Ackroyd (star of The Blues Brothers film) in 1992 at Harvard Square in Cambridge, Massachusetts, but now with locations across America and around the world. The House of Blues San Diego branch opened in 2005 and has continuously brought in top touring artists from all over the country as well as providing a stage for local up-and-coming bands and solo artists. Drinks and food are available, with a range of different rooms such as the Voodoo Room providing spaces for more intimate gatherings such as banquets, receptions, or live concerts.
