About Leeds United FC

Leeds United FC is a professional football club based in Leeds, West Yorkshire, England. Founded in 1919, the club is commonly known as "The Whites" because of its traditional all-white kit. Leeds United plays its home matches at Elland Road, a stadium with a rich history and passionate supporters. The club has a proud history in English football, winning three English league titles (1968–69, 1973–74, and 1991–92) and the FA Cup in 1972. Under legendary manager Don Revie, Leeds became a dominant force in domestic football during the late 1960s and 1970s. In European competition, the club won the Inter-Cities Fairs Cup twice, in 1968 and 1971, and also reached the final of the European Cup in 1975, where they were defeated by Bayern Munich. Leeds United has spent periods in both the Premier League and the English Football League Championship. Known for its strong fanbase and historic rivalries, the club currently competes in the Premier League, having won the Championship title in 2024–25 to earn promotion back to the top flight.
