The NHRA Winternationals, officially known as the Lucas Oil NHRA Winternationals, is one of the most historic and prestigious events in drag racing, held annually at the In-N-Out Burger Pomona Dragstrip in Pomona, California. Nicknamed the "Big-Go West," the event has been held at the Pomona facility since 1961 and typically serves as one of the early-season races on the NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series schedule. The race features competition across the sport's premier professional categories including Top Fuel, Funny Car, and Pro Stock, drawing competitors and fans from across the country. The event holds a rich legacy of milestone moments in drag racing history, including the debut of the Top Fuel Funny Car class in 1969 and the first sub-four-second run by a woman in 2014. With a seating capacity of 40,000, the Pomona facility is considered the birthplace of NHRA drag racing, having hosted the organization's very first sanctioned event in 1953.
