Based in Cary, North Carolina – the professional women’s soccer team North Carolina (NC) Courage shows its skills. Founded on January 9, 2017, after acquiring the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) franchise rights from the Western New York Flash, the Courage play their home games at WakeMed Soccer Park. The team has already won several games in its career – for example the NWSL Shield in 2018. The players were also able to celebrate the Women’s International Champions Cup in 2018 and 2019. The NWSL Challenge Cup was one of their other trophies in 2022 and 2023. Their fans admire the great teamwork and community spirit that has led the NC Courage to its successes so far.
