Racing Louisville FC is still a relatively young women's soccer team – with high ambitions. The team was founded in 2021 and is part of the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL). The team is the first professional top-level sports team in Kentucky since the late 1970s. The women call Lynn Family Stadium their home. The squad includes top players from the US women's national team such as Savannah DeMelo, Jaelin Howell and Carson Pickett. Racing Louisville has been led by head coach Bev Yanez since November 2023 and was herself an active player until the beginning of 2020 – among others with the Chicago Red Stars, Sky Blue FC and Seattle Reign.
