Located in Atlanta on campus, McCamish Pavilion (known locally as the Thrillerdome) is home to the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets basketball teams. The venue, which first opened way back in 1956, was substantially renovated in 2011 to transform it into a chic modern basketball facility while retaining its iconic concrete dome. The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets are not generally thought of as a major NCAA basketball team on the conference and national stage, but the team has actually made a surprising impact on the game at both the college and NBA level.
