From 1970 until the mid-1990s, the NBA’s Portland Trail Blazers played their basketball in the Memorial Coliseum, famous as one of the loudest buildings in the entire league. When the Blazers moved to the Moda Center in 1995, the team was keen to maintain the competitive advantage that comes with a raucous home atmosphere. The architects responded, affixing 160 rotating panels to the new venue to create a unique “acoustical cloud” that can be adjusted to better suit different events. As well as all regular season and playoff Blazers home games, he Moda Center also hosts a wide variety of concerts, performances, cultural events, and other sporting competitions. Visitors who show up hungry will find no shortage of dining options, everything from Korean chicken to quesadillas to Killer Burgers (and of course, Portland’s famous craft beer). The venue also has many shops and kiosks with team and event merchandise.
Moda Center has many different options when it comes to seating for games and events. There are premium seating areas such as floor seats or luxury boxes, as well as mid-range and cheaper general admission seats. No matter where you sit, rest assured that there is not a bad seat in the house. TicketX lists all the available tickets to your game or event at Moda Center with a seating chart that allows you to compare different seating options.
