Home Teams: Auburn Tigers (NCAA College Basketball)
Neville Arena in Auburn, Alabama (known until 2022 as the Auburn Arena) is home to the Auburn Tigers basketball teams, women’s gymnastics team, and women’s volleyball team. The arena itself opened in 2010, with a statue of NBA legend and Auburn Tigers alumni Charles Barkley added outside in 2017 (one wonders how much bronze was needed to properly recreate the “Round Mound of Rebound”). Throughout most of its history, Auburn University was always better known for its football team, with the Tigers men’s basketball team a relatively unknown regional team. The Tigers emerged in the 1980s, qualifying for their first-ever NCAA March Madness postseason tournament, a feat that they would replicate 12 more times in the years since, with 5 appearances in the Sweet 16 and 2 in the Elite 8. The Tigers’ best tournament run yet was in 2019 when they made it all the way to the NCAA Final Four only to fall in a heartbreaking 63-62 semifinal to the Virginia Cavaliers. Nevertheless, with that experience along with 4 tournament appearances since 2018, the Tigers look set to maintain their building momentum into the future. The gorgeous new facility of Neville Arena has definitely played its part in the team’s recent successes, with their orange-clad fans, known collectively as The Jungle, packing the stands for home games and even camping out (in a group of tents dubbed “Jungle City") to land tickets to big games. As well as Tigers gymnastics meets, and basketball and volleyball games, Neville Arena is also known as a concert venue, with past performers including Ludacris, Train, and Young the Giant. Hungry visitors to Neville Arena will find standard stadium snacks like hot dogs, nachos, burgers, and popcorn at the concessions, along with plenty of cold beer (as of 2023!). Those looking for Tigers merchandise can check out shops and kiosks at Neville Arena or around campus.
The Auburn Tigers routinely sell out (and actually oversell, with standing room) tickets to their home games at Neville Arena. While these raucous packed crowds create the incredible atmosphere that confers a home court advantage, they can make tickets difficult to find. To get your hands on the cheapest tickets to Auburn Tigers home games or other events at Neville Arena, keep checking back on the TicketX listings on this page and use our handy TicketX seating chart to compare seating options based on price and location.
