Yellowcard is a rock band from Jacksonville, Florida. The Yellowcard members met at the Douglas Anderson School of Arts in 1997 and got its name from a phrase they used at school. The group is recognized for their unique sound, given their use of violins. They released their first album in 2003, which went double platinum. Over the course of their career, they released ten studio albums, the most recent of which came out in 2016. They took a break after that release but reunited in 2022 for festivals and an anniversary tour. They also released a new EP in 2023 and reopened their old YouTube account to feature weekly sessions about the new music. They mostly played pop-punk and alternative on their albums but also experimented with alternative and arena rock styles in later works.
