Since its opening in June 1995, the Pavilion has undergone several name changes, reflecting shifts in sponsorship from Blockbuster and Sony Music Entertainment to its current name, reflecting a partnership with Freedom Mortgage in May 2022. This year-round facility boasts a 25,488 capacity as an outdoor amphitheater during the summer, complete with lawn seating, video screens, advanced sound technology, and picturesque views of the Philadelphia skyline, Delaware River, and the Benjamin Franklin Bridge. In the cooler months, it transforms into a fully enclosed, climate-controlled theater that can accommodate up to 7,000 attendees, hosting a diverse range of events from concerts and Broadway shows to family entertainment. The venue's seating arrangement varies between seated and standing room, depending on the event. Located near notable attractions like the Battleship New Jersey Museum and Memorial, Wiggins Park, and the Adventure Aquarium, the Freedom Mortgage Pavilion is a significant cultural and entertainment hub in the region, offering year-long entertainment options across a variety of genres and formats.
