Jesse Malin is a rock musician, songwriter, and guitarist from New York. He started his career with the hardcore group Heart Attack but then rose to fame as the vocalist for D Generation. He began his solo career in 2015 and has since worked with Green Day, Bruce Springsteen, Ryan Adams, and many others. Malin started his career at the young age of 12 as he took on the frontman position. After the band broke up in 1984, Malin moved on to other projects before joining another band, which became one of the most notable bands in New York City. He never stopped writing music and worked on a fresh sound to break out as a solo artist. In 2023, Malin had a spinal stroke, which paralyzed him from the waist down. His first performance occurred on CBS Saturday Morning along with several benefit shows that put proceeds toward the Sweet Relief Musicians Fund.
