Judas Priest is a heavy metal band formed in 1969 in Birmingham, England. They are called one of the greatest metal bands of all time and have sold over 50 million albums. They helped to influence several metal subgenres like thrash, power, and speed metal. Though they were innovative and pioneers, they struggled to gain commercial success until their sixth studio album in 1980 finally grabbed larger attention. Of the original members, only two appear on every album. Their style, which includes leather, spikes, and other taboo items, helped influence the glam metal of the 80s.
