The Norfolk Admirals are a minor league hockey team based in Norfolk, Virginia, where they hit home ice each season at the 11,000-seat Norfolk Scope arena. The Admirals moved to Virginia in 2015 from Bakersfield and have played in the Eastern Conference of the East Coast Hockey League (ECHL), two levels down from the NHL, ever since. The Admirals are long-term affiliates of the Manitoba Moose (AHL) and Winnipeg Jets (NHL), with players moving up and down between the levels as required.
