The Cactus Blossoms is an indie folk/alternative country band from Minneapolis, Minnesota. Brothers Jack Torey and Page Burkum along with their touring band make up the group. Their sound approaches early country and rock and roll along with American folk music and hillbilly genres. The brothers started playing music at 18 and 23 but didn’t form The Cactus Blossoms until well over a decade later. They started playing local shows in 2010 and self-produced a self-titled debut album the next year. They gained a residency at St. Paul’s Turf Club and produced their first live album there. After supporting other artists on tour, they signed with a label and put out their first studio album in 2016. Recording slowed during the pandemic year, but they started recording their third album in a home studio and released it in 2022.
