Home Teams: Nashville SC (MLS)
Geodis Park is the gorgeous new soccer-specific home stadium of Nashville SC, which opened in May 2022, part way through the team’s third season in the MLS. After joining the league in 2020 as an expansion franchise up from the USL (the league below MLS), Nashville SC played out their first two seasons in massive Nissan Stadium, home of the NFL’s Tennessee Titans, which was neither the right size or shape for the new soccer team. Geodis Park, on the other hand, is the second largest soccer-specific stadium in MLS (and largest in the US, as the largest is in Toronto), giving fans the experience of experiencing great soccer up close in a lively sold out stadium. On the field, Nashville SC has begun to find their feet, qualifying for the MLS Playoffs in 3 out of 4 years with two appearances in the quarterfinals. The team’s loyal supporters groups, known collectively as The Backline and including such subgroups as The Roadies, Music City Heaters, and La Brigada de Oro, love to dress up in black and gold and get crazy, spending most games on their feet while singing Nashville SC on to victory. Hungry visitors at Geodis Park will find no shortage of savory snacks, with everything from BBQ nachos and smoked wings to jalapestroni pizza and the Nashville SC Dog on the menu. Excellent craft beer is also readily available. To purchase some Nashville SC merchandise, head to one of the venue’s many shops and kiosks.
As well as Nashville SC soccer games, Geodis Park has also already hosted a few international soccer matches, featuring the U.S. Women's National Soccer Team, Canada Womens National Soccer Team, and U.S. Men's National Soccer Team. The venue is also set up to become a major concert venue, having already featured such international stars as Shania Twain, Carrie Underwood, Guns N’ Roses, Kelsea Ballerini Breland, P!nk, and many more.
The following large concerts are scheduled to be held at Geodis Park in 2024:
