About Save Mart Center

Save Mart Center, situated on the campus of California State University, Fresno, is a versatile multi-purpose arena in Fresno, California, inaugurated in 2003. It serves as the home venue for the Fresno State Bulldogs' men's and women's basketball teams, as well as the women's volleyball and wrestling teams. Save Mart Center, which also hosted the Fresno Falcons ice hockey team for their initial ECHL seasons, is a prominent concert destination with its first performance by opera tenor Andrea Bocelli. The facility boasts around 40,000 square meters of space across several levels, featuring 32 revenue-generating suites, eight party suites, and versatile seating capacities accommodating events ranging from basketball and hockey to various concert configurations. A distinctive feature of the arena is the 37-meter-high Larry A. Shehadey Clock Tower, named after a significant donor to the construction project. The complex, one of the largest privately funded university projects in the U.S., also includes the Bulldog Foundation Community Room, a bronze bulldog statue, nine time capsule boxes, display cases celebrating Bulldog sports, the Bulldog Walkway honoring notable alumni, and the Bulldog Shop for university merchandise.
