Bailey Zimmerman

The American singer, Bailey Zimmerman, was born on January 27, 2000, in Louisville, Illinois. His passion for music started at the age of nine when he took an interest in guitar; he also enjoyed playing dirt bikes and baseball. In his teenage years, his mother introduced him to rock music, in which he found inspiration from the sounds of hard rock and metal bands like Avenged Sevenfold, Kid Rock, and Nickelback.

In 2012, Bailey Zimmerman attended his first concert featuring Tesla; this is one of the experiences that sparked his musical aspirations. Despite only attending one other concert, his versatility in music is all thanks to his father’s love for country music on their long drives together.

Before becoming a full-time music artist, one time Bailey impulsively recorded on Snapchat singing Stay by Black Stone Cherry, with the hope that he would get the attention of girls. Then, a songwriter, Gavin Lucas,  reached out to Bailey, expressing his interest in listening to more of his music. A few weeks later, Gavin Lucas proposed a collaboration, and they recorded Never Coming Home.

In 2020, Zimmerman started sharing his original music on TikTok, showcasing Never Coming Home. He got large visibility as the snippet of the song got over a million views motivating him to invest in recording the song professionally. By 2021, he released the track Never Coming Home as his debut single, giving him a spot in the top 20 on Spotify’s Viral Chart in the United States. Zimmerman got signed to Core Entertainment, and he performed his first show at Rock The South 2021, featuring a backing band; he killed the performance even though he had only met them three days prior to the performance.

After the release of the track Fall in Love in 2022, the song climbed the charts, getting a spot at number 31 on the Billboard Hot 100 in August 2022. Then he dropped two more singles: Rock and a Hard Place in June and Where It Ends in August of the same year. These tracks got him the attention of Warner Music Nashville and Electra Record of which he is now signed to. His debut major label project, the EP, Leave the Light On, got attention immediately when it was released, making a great mark by debuting in the top ten of both the Billboard 200 and Canadian Albums charts.

His Grand Ole Opry debut in November 2022 marks another milestone in his music career. Plus him being one of the opening acts for Morgan Wallen’s One Night at a Time World Tour in 2023. Zimmerman closed out the year 2022 as the sole country artist to achieve two Platinum certifications from the RIAA.

His first full length album Religiously released in 2023 shows how he merges traditional country narratives with bold arena rock ambition. The lead single and title track Religiously sets the tone for the album. The track dominated Billboard’s Country Airplay Chart for six weeks making it his first Billboard Hot 100 Top 10 hit.
