Lamp is an indie pop band from Japan that formed in 2000. The band is made up of vocalists and multi-instrumentalists Yusuke Nagai and Kaori Sakakibara, and guitarist Taiyo Someya. The trio started co-writing songs together due to their shared interest in 60s British and American music. They put together a demo tape, then played their first show in a small Japanese bar in 2001.
