The Altons are a soul and R&B band from East Los Angeles, California, formed in 2015 and consisting of co-lead vocalists Adriana Flores and Bryan Ponce, rhythm guitarist Joseph Quinones, bassist Chris Manjarrez, and drummer Caitlin Moss. Named after Jamaican rocksteady singer Alton Ellis, the band draws on Motown, Stax, Chicano soul, and Latin influences to create a sound rooted in vintage soul with a modern edge. They released their debut album In the Meantime in 2019 and released several singles through Daptone Records' Penrose imprint. Their debut full-length on Daptone, Heartache in Room 14, was released on Valentine's Day 2025 and produced by Daptone co-founder Bosco Mann. The band has also been featured on Mary J. Blige's Grammy-nominated album Good Morning Gorgeous. Several members also perform in the closely related Chicano soul group Thee Sinseers.
