About Tulane Green Wave Football

The Tulane Green Wave represent Tulane University in New Orleans and compete in the American Conference. Football dates to 1893, and the program's early decades were among its strongest: Tulane was a founding SEC member, won league titles in 1934, 1939, and 1949, and finished as a national finalist in the poll era in 1931. The Green Wave also won the inaugural Sugar Bowl in their own stadium. After leaving the SEC in 1966, the program had a long fallow stretch before its modern revival, winning American Conference titles in 2022 and 2025 and reaching the College Football Playoff for the first time last season. Will Hall, previously head coach at Southern Miss and a former Tulane offensive coordinator, takes over for 2026.
