About Majestic Theatre San Antonio
Majestic Theatre San Antonio, located at 224 E. Houston Street in the heart of downtown San Antonio, stood proudly for many years as the largest theatre in Texas and the second largest motion picture theatre in the country. Known as one of the most ornate facilities in the country, Majestic Theatre San Antonio has long held a special place in the archives of Texas theatrical and architectural history. In 1975, the theatre was listed on the National Register of Historic Places and was designated a Texas Historic Landmark in 1991 and a National Historic Landmark in April 19, 1993.
