Terminal 5

Capacity: 3000

Opened: 2007

Address: 610 W. 56th Street, New York, NY.

If you find yourself in New York City, particularly in the infamous Hell’s Kitchen, then you need to make your way down to Terminal 5. With a capacity of up to 3000 people and a multi-level architectural structure, Terminal 5 is a beloved spot for music venues in New York. It has featured unforgettable concerts like Steve Lacy’s October show in 2022, Jack Harlow’s concert in December 2021, and Lana Del Rey’s 2017 show.

Terminal 5 is a guarantee of a good experience for music fans everywhere. It has indoor and outdoor spaces, a large open floor with multiple balconies on different tiers, and an incredibly high ceiling that shows off its facilities.

Opened in 2007, the venue was renovated from what used to be a nightclub that was either known as Club Exit or Mirage and Carbon. The club was involved in a debacle in 2003 which led to it being closed by the Drug Enforcement Administration. At this point, The Bowery Presents took the club from what it used to be and created a popular, outstanding venue now known for its flexibility. You could look around to see a concert hall or a theater, and others would see the perfect venue for a themed wedding reception. However, Terminal 5 also offers the possibility of intimate, close-knit events despite its size and capacity. It is one of the 5 major venues that belong to The Bowery Presents in the city, some of which include The Mercury LoungeBrooklyn Steel, and the Music Hall of Williamsburg.  An incredible lineup of popular destinations for lovers of the entertainment scene.

Terminal 5 Seating Chart

Terminal 5 has an impressive interior—large with magnificent 40-foot ceilings that provide an undeniable ambiance—and an outdoor rooftop with its own bar. The venue has views that are compelling from every angle, giving it a general aesthetic. However, the best views in the house are those from the balconies, which come with higher ticket prices.

The ground floor is usually set aside for general admission tickets, which could be listed in different ways. A part of the 2nd floor, also known as The Mezzanine, is sectioned off for premium VIP tickets that are sometimes difficult to get, while the 3rd floor is exclusively a seating space with broadcasts of the event on display.
