4 Non Blondes is an American rock band formed in San Francisco in 1989 by bassist Christa Hillhouse, guitarist Shaunna Hall, drummer Wanda Day, and vocalist and guitarist Linda Perry. Before their debut album, Day and Hall were replaced by drummer Dawn Richardson and guitarist Roger Rocha. Their only studio album, Bigger, Better, Faster, More! (1992), spent 59 weeks on the US Billboard 200 and sold over six million copies worldwide. It's single "What's Up?" reached No. 14 on the Billboard Hot 100 and topped charts in multiple countries, becoming one of the defining rock songs of the 1990s. The band disbanded in late 1994. Following the breakup, Perry became a celebrated songwriter and producer, with credits including "Beautiful" by Christina Aguilera and "Get the Party Started" by Pink, and was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2015. In 2025, the band announced a reunion with new tour dates and plans for new music.
