Atlus is the stage name of Sean Haywood, an American country and pop-rock singer-songwriter born on August 7, 1992, in Denver, Colorado, and now based in Nashville, Tennessee. Phonetically named after the mythological Titan who held up the heavens, he began singing at age four and writing songs at age ten, and joined a high school band before launching his solo career as Atlus. Raised in a single-parent home marked by poverty and addiction — experiences that shape the raw emotional authenticity of his songwriting — he wrote his first two studio albums while working as a commercial truck driver, crafting lyrics and melodies behind the wheel to support his family and fund studio time.
