Beach Bunny is an American indie rock and indie pop band from Chicago, Illinois, formed in 2015 as a bedroom solo project by guitarist and vocalist Lili Trifilio. After releasing a series of lo-fi EPs independently, Trifilio expanded Beach Bunny into a full band in 2017 to compete in a battle of the bands, with the current lineup consisting of Trifilio alongside drummer Jon Alvarado and bassist Anthony Vaccaro. The band's 2018 EP Prom Queen, featuring the song of the same name, went viral on TikTok in late 2019, bringing widespread attention to the project.
