The original members of Broadside got the band together in 2010 in Richmond, Virginia, releasing their first EP, Far From Home, a year later, then added five more songs to it in 2012 as their first ever album, which was released, somewhat surprisingly, by an independent Japanese record label. After spending several years recording demos and EPs, as well as touring widely, Broadside eventually signed a recording contract in 2015 with Victory Records and put out their first proper studio album, Old Bones, which received good reviews. The band’s second studio album, Paradise, reached the Billboard charts, topping out at Number 17 on the US Heatseekers chart and attracting many new fans to Broadside’s music.
