About Em Beihold

Em Beihold is an American singer-songwriter born on January 21, 1999, in Los Angeles, California. Of half-Persian descent, she began playing piano at age six and writing her own songs at seven. A competitive fencer at the University of California, San Diego, she earned NCAA All-American Honors in 2019 while simultaneously building her music career. She released her debut EP Infrared in 2017 and gained viral traction on TikTok before signing with Republic Records. Her 2022 single Numb Little Bug reached number 18 on the Billboard Hot 100 and was certified platinum, establishing her as a rising voice in indie pop. That same year she featured on Stephen Sanchez's Until I Found You, which reached number 23 on the Billboard Hot 100. Her debut album Tales of a Failed Shapeshifter was released on February 27, 2026.
