About Indiana Hoosiers Mens Basketball

The Indiana Hoosiers men's basketball team represents Indiana University Bloomington in NCAA Division I competition. Competing in the Big Ten Conference, the Hoosiers have a storied basketball tradition. They have won five national championships in 1940, 1953, 1976, 1981, and 1987, with the 1976 team finishing a perfect 32–0, the last undefeated champion in men’s Division I history. Legendary coach Bob Knight led the team to three titles and shaped the program’s national reputation. The current head coach, Darian DeVries, took over in March 2025. Indiana plays its home games at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall, known for its passionate fans. The Hoosiers remain competitive each season, consistently attracting talented players and maintaining a respected presence in college basketball.
