Kashus Culpepper is an American singer-songwriter from Alexander City, Alabama, known for blending country, soul, blues, folk, and Southern rock into a distinctive sound driven by his powerful, raspy baritone voice. He found his voice singing in church as young as five years old, but it wasn't until the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 that he picked up a guitar during his deployment with the Navy in Rota, Spain. After returning home, he played dive bars up and down the Mississippi Gulf Coast, selling out headline club shows throughout the South before formally releasing a single song. He signed with Big Loud Records and has toured with Leon Bridges, Sierra Ferrell, and Eric Church. His debut album Act I earned praise from artists including John Mayer and Elton John.
